Amazon workers in Germany strike during peak holiday sales period

Over 1,000 German workers for Amazon.com went on strike Monday over a dispute about pay and conditions, Reuters reports.
The online shopping company, which is about to see its pre-Christmas sales peak, said that 1,115 staff were on strike across three sites in Germany. Amazon said that deliveries would not be delayed.

Germany is Amazon’s second-largest market behind the United States and employs 9,000 staff and 14,000 seasonal workers in the country during the holiday shopping season.
