Chinooks, Portuguese Podengo Pequenos and Rat Terriers have joined the mix of canines who will compete for the gold at the 138th Westminster Kennel Club in New York in February. For the first time in 100 years, mixed-breeds will be allowed in the competition of 2,845 dogs. Who will be this year’s top dogs? You’ll have to wait until Feb. 10 when the two-day event– the second longest continuously held sporting event in the United States — kicks off at Madison Square Garden in New York.
