Over the course of his 30 year career, Utley was NBC’s chief foreign correspondent, visiting some 75 countries. He was the bureau chief in London and Paris and served as the weekend anchor for NBC Nightly News. He also moderated for Meet the Press from January 1989 to December 1991. Utley was 74.
