According to AccuWeather, an upgraded Hurricane Manuel made landfall on northern Sinaloa Thursday morning. It will weaken as it travels over mainland Mexico through Friday. Storm-triggered mudslides buried homes in the small town of La Pintada, outside Acapulco. Helicopters lifted residents to safety. BBC has video and photos of the disaster. Bridges washed away and people plundered stores in Acapulco looking for supplies. The death toll from the storms is estimated at 80. We're not going anywhere.
