Courtesy of NPR In a message to staff, NPR CEO Gary Knell and Board of Directors Chairperson Kit Jensen said the organization is “working toward achieving a balanced budget in [Fiscal Year] 2015.” Their statement also announced that beginning Sept. 30, NPR’s Chairman of the Board Paul Haaga will step in as interim president and CEO of the organization. Knell announced last month that he would be leaving NPR at the end of December to become CEO and President of National Geographic. We're not going anywhere.
