OPCW notified of Nobel Peace Prize win over Twitter

The Nobel Peace Prize committee apparently had some difficulty getting in touch with the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons this morning to inform the group of its win.

The Washington Post reports that in a last-ditch effort, the committee tweeted at the OPCW a couple times:

The OPCW did eventually get the message, of course, but this isn’t the first time this week that the committee has had trouble getting a hold of its winners. Canadian author Alice Munro won the Nobel Prize for Literature and the committee had to leave her a voicemail message when she didn’t answer its calls.
