President sounds notes of hope, skepticism about Syria deal

In a press conference earlier on Monday, President Barack Obama spoke about Syria:

“Over the weekend we took an important step in that direction, towards moving Syria’s chemical weapons under international control so they can be destroyed. And we’re not there yet. But if properly implemented this agreement could end the threat these weapons pose, not only to the Syrian people but to the world.”
