Earlier Wednesday, Reuters President and Editor-in-Chief Stephen Adler announced the organization would cut five percent of its editorial staff. Adler said cuts would be made across the globe and within all levels of the news agency.

The news comes weeks after Reuters cancellation of their digital project, Reuters Next, and Reuters Digital Executive Editor Jim Roberts’ announcement of his upcoming departure.
