With Congress passing the GOP plan to cut Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) funding for about 4 million Americans, it’s perhaps not surprising that Democrats represent 54 of those 63 districts where food stamp participation is above 20 percent. But as Washington Post’s Reid Wilson notes: “Despite high rates of poverty back home, party loyalty drove much of the vote … Among the nine Republicans who represent high-use SNAP districts, only one — Rep.
