Attacks in three different regions of Egypt resulted in at least nine deaths Monday morning, the day after dozens were killed in clashes between Islamists and security forces. Officials said masked gunmen shot dead six soldiers in a drive-by shooting outside the city of Ismailiya. Hours later, a car bomb killed three police officers and injured over 40 people in sourthern Sinai.

A rocket-propelled grenade was also fired at a government-run satellite station in Cairo, reportedly used to air channels on Egypt’s Nilesat satellite. No casualties have been reported from that attack.

The BBC has been posting photos from deadly clashes in Egypt as the violence rages on.
