Twitter Chat: Ask your arthritis questions

One of every five adults and 300,000 children suffer from arthritis. The condition of inflamed joints leads to joint pain and stiffness and is the leading cause of disability in the U.S. While there is no cure for arthritis treatment focuses on managing and lessening its symptoms.

On Thursday, Jan. 16, PBS NewsHour in partnership with the Mayo Clinic, NIH’s National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, American College of Rheumatology and the Arthritis Foundation will host a Twitter chat on arthritis.
Mayo Clinic rheumatologists Eric Matteson, M.D.,Thomas Osborn, M.D., rheumatoid arthritis researcher Veena Taneja, Ph.D, arthritis researcher Jennifer Hootman, Ph.D, from the CDC and Cindy McDaniel, the Arthritis Foundation vice president of consumer health will answer your arthritis questions.
