We will release an update to the app that resolves this issue shortly. Thank you for downloading the PBS NewsHour iPhone app. The app provides easy, mobile access to all content produced by the PBS NewsHour. The app offers feeds of the following content types: News – A combined list of all PBS NewsHour reporting. Video – Broadcast and online news and reporting in a video format. Available in high resolution. Politics – All PBS NewsHour politics coverage. Public Media – Highlighted reports from our public media partners Economy – Economic news and analysis Art Beat – The PBS NewsHour’s blog on arts and culture Podcasts – PBS NewsHour broadcast reports in audio format. Making Sense – Paul Solman’s guide to the economy Science & Tech – Science and technology coverage Social Issues – Our ongoing coverage of social issues. World – International news, including on the ground reporting These feeds can be sorted and added to the user’s home screen in the app, to provide a customized interface. To customize your app, please follow these steps: 1. Open the PBS NewsHour App. 2. Select the “More” tab at the bottom right corner of your screen. You will now see a list of additional topics. 3. Press the “Edit” button in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. You will now see a field of icons representing the different content streams. 4. Drag and drop any of the icons down to the list of icons across the bottom of your screen. The icons you drag will replace the icons already in your list. 5. Once you are satisfied, press the “Done” button. Your app home screen is now customized. —————- Troubleshooting: If you are experiencing issues with your app, please refer to the following troubleshooting steps. If these steps do not resolve your issue, email the PBS NewsHour at appsupport@newshour.org. Issue: New news is not appearing in the app feeds. Solution 1: Place your finger on the content area of the app and pull the feed down. You will see a message that the app is updating the feed content. Once the feed content updates, you should see the most up-to-date content in the feed. Solution 2: Navigate to the “Settings” application on your device and open the application. Scroll down the list of options in this application until you come to a section called “NewsHour.” Select this setting. Now switch the tab under “Reset cached content on next relaunch” to “On.” We're not going anywhere. Stand up for truly independent, trusted news that you can count on! Donate now
