So far, 21 deaths have been blamed on the cold wave since Saturday. Iraq’s PM urges al-Qaida-link fighters to give up fighting Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki offered Sunni fighters, linked to al-Qaida, a possible pardon for recent violence in Ramadi and Fallujah — if they stop fighting. South Sudan peace talks remain stalled Peace talks in Ethiopia have stalled as a rebel commander takes more ground in Bor, the capital of the state of Jonglei in South Sudan.
