Fixing problems with insurance marketplaces
Nonprofit insurance companies, which were supposed to encourage competition, are in financial danger. The Washington Post reports the co-ops’ failure could “leave taxpayers potentially on the hook for nearly $1 billion in defaulted loans and rob the marketplace of the kind of competition they were supposed to create.”
Court convenes to determine Detroit bankruptcy eligibility
