POSITION OVERVIEW:
PBS News seeks a skilled multiplatform producer who will report, write, edit, shoot and produce journalism for our digital platforms and work a hybrid weekday/weekend schedule. Qualified applicants should have 3-5 years of reporting experience, the ability to work independently or as a part of a team and a hunger for bylines. Applicants should have experience producing journalism across text, audio, video and social media platforms. Experience working on a national platform is a plus, as is a demonstrated ability to reach audiences on social media. The multiplatform producer will work in a general assignment capacity, covering a wide range of breaking and longer-term news stories. This role will produce and publish digital news coverage on Saturdays and Sundays, in addition to working three additional weekdays.

WETA and NewsHour Productions value employee flexibility when possible. Most positions based in our Arlington, VA office will be onsite or hybrid, depending upon the role.
