Clinton claims historic victory in Democratic primary

NEW YORK — Claiming her place in history, Hillary Clinton declared victory Tuesday night in her bruising battle for the Democratic presidential nomination, becoming the first woman to lead a major American political party.

Trump wins GOP California primary

Already the presumptive Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton sailed to victory in Tuesday’s primary in New Jersey, one of six states voting across the country. Donald Trump won Republican primaries in New Jersey, New Mexico and South Dakota.
