Also on the agenda is the looming budget battle in Congress, which again faces a deadline (now April 8) to fund the government and avoid a shutdown. Gwen and Judy also share their memories about former vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro, who died on Saturday. Judy said that Ferraro’s presence in the 1984 campaign helped spur media organizations to send more female journalists to cover the campaign, and Gwen recalled that Ferraro was known for always speaking her mind. You can watch President Obama’s speech live on the NewsHour’s website and on some local PBS stations. For more of our politics coverage, check out our politics page. We're not going anywhere.
