That’s according to Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus. He tells The Associated Press that a highly publicized push to dump Trump during next week’s convention is a “nothing burger.” He says, “It’s over. It was never there.” The GOP chairman made the comments during an AP interview on Friday, the day after anti-Trump delegates failed to change party rules to allow them to oppose Trump on the convention floor. Priebus said, “There is no other candidate. That was one of the problems that this Never Trump issue had last night. Who is the other candidate? What VP nominees are you vetting? We’re voting next week, on Tuesday or Wednesday. What money are you raising? Where is this person?” He added, “There have been many reports about how I was going to have a rebellion on the rules committee.
