I was filling in for Hari Sreenivasan, who is enjoying a break for the holidays. We talked about the Hawaii Senate shenanigans this week, and the upcoming special election in Massachusetts, as the Democratic field seems to be clearing for Rep. Ed Markey as everyone waits on what ousted Sen. Scott Brown will do. (I’m still holding out hope that Mitt Romney will run for Senate in his home state.) Speaking of holding out hope, we each gave our predictions for the NFL playoffs for our “politics of sport” section. Yes, I’m still high on the 49ers.
