On Wednesday, Senate lawmakers voted to begin debating the provisions of the GOP tax bill. The Senate could vote on the amendments to the bill as early as Thursday evening. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., said he would back the bill, while Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, remains a known Republican holdout on the overall tax package. “I have a lot of concerns that I’m trying to fix,” she told reporters at a breakfast Thursday.
