Peggy Flanagan is confident that he will be “an incredible partner” for Vice President Kamala Harris. Watch Flanagan’s remarks in the player above. “I have just watched him lead with courage and with heart, and his whole lived experience is about public service,” Flanagan said in an interview with PBS News on Night 3 of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. WATCH: 2024 Democratic National Convention Night 3 If Harris and Walz are elected to the White House, Flanagan will become the first Native American woman governor of Minnesota. “We have different lived experiences. That’s why we decided to run together and serve together, but we have shared values,” Flanagan said. “I have learned an incredible amount from him. He really listens and can take on opinions that are different from his own.” Walz formally accepted the Democratic party’s vice presidential nomination at the convention Wednesday, a day before Harris takes the stage as the official nominee.
