Ali Rogin Named Correspondent for PBS NewsHour and PBS News Weekend

Arlington, VA (February 1, 2024)—Peabody award-winning journalist Ali Rogin has been named a correspondent for PBS NewsHour and PBS News Weekend. She joined the NewsHour in 2019 as a producer on the foreign affairs desk and became a correspondent for PBS News Weekend in 2022.

We are thrilled to feature her work on PBS NewsHour and PBS News Weekend as a full-time correspondent,” said Sara Just, senior executive producer of PBS NewsHour Productions and a WETA SVP.

During her time at PBS NewsHour, Rogin has reported on a wide range of issues, including health care and foreign affairs. She received a Peabody Award in 2021 for her work on NewsHour’s series on the COVID-19 pandemic’s effect worldwide. She is also the recipient of two Edward R. Murrow Awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association and has been a part of several teams nominated for an Emmy, including for her work covering the fall of ISIS in 2020, the Las Vegas mass shooting in 2017, the inauguration of President Barack Obama in 2014, and the 2010 midterm elections.

Prior to joining the NewsHour, Rogin was a radio reporter and producer on the Capitol Hill and State Department beats for ABC News. Before that she was at NBC News, where she served as a political unit researcher, White House producer and campaign embed reporter during the 2012 election.

She is a New Jersey native and graduated from New York University. She and her husband live in Washington D.C. with their daughter.
