PBS NEWSHOUR Co-Anchor Gwen Ifill interviews President Barack Obama

 

(Saturday, September 7, 2013 – Arlington, VA) In the second interview with PBS NEWSHOUR in as many weeks, President Obama will sit down with NEWSHOUR Co-Anchor and Managing Editor Gwen Ifill on Monday, September 9, 2013.

The President is expected to discuss his latest attempts to build support with the American public, Congress and the international community for a military strike against Syria in response to the alleged chemical weapons attack on August 21.  

The interview with President Obama airs Monday on the inaugural broadcast of the new PBS NEWSHOUR, with Ifill and Judy Woodruff as co-anchors and managing editors.  It will also be available via the PBS NEWSHOUR live stream at www.pbs.org/newshour and via the PBS NEWSHOUR Ustream channel: http://www.ustream.tv/pbsnewshour
