PBS NewsHour announces the launch of “PBS NewsHour Science” www.pbs.org/newshour/topic/science a one-stop web destination for the latest news in science, engineering and technology. The site goes live Tuesday, November 16, 2010 and features reporting by NewsHour Science Correspondent Miles O’Brien, NewsHour Digital Correspondent Hari Sreenivasan, Reporter/Producer Jenny Marder and the PBS NewsHour’s award winning science reporting unit.

Feature stories: Originally-reported print and tape pieces, with strong visual elements. Breaking news stories: Regular coverage of breaking science news stories. Miles Online: Reports from NewsHour Science Correspondent Miles O’Brien, including field reports, blog posts, and extended interviews. Hari’s Energy/Environment Corner: Hari Sreenivasan’s ongoing coverage of energy and the environment. This will be part innovation, part business and part coverage of clean tech, all keeping tabs on news in the energy and environment sectors. “Just Ask” – a weekly Science Q&A: The NewsHour science team will select viewer questions to pose to scientists and experts who will respond in print or video form.
