WASHINGTON, DC (April 28, 2020) — The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) today announced the PBS NewsHour was named an official honoree in the 24th Webby Awards for General Websites: News & Politics. The IADAS is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet.
The PBS NewsHour website, pbs.org/newshour, is known for thoughtful and trustworthy journalism including breaking news, under-reported issues, and in-depth reporting of events featured in the nightly broadcast as well as live streams of news events and the nightly broadcast. It features topical verticals – from politics, world news, and health to business, science, and education – as well as the digital arts initiative, CANVAS.
