PBS NewsHour’s Coverage Plans for President Trump’s First State of the Union on Tuesday, January 30
Washington, DC (January 29, 2018) — PBS NewsHour will produce a prime time special broadcast for President Trump’s first State of the Union on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 9 – 11pm ET. Managing editor Judy Woodruff will anchor the broadcast, with correspondents Yamiche Alcindor and Lisa Desjardins reporting live from the White House and U.S. Capitol, respectively. Joining Woodruff in studio will be New York Times columnist David Brooks; syndicated columnist Mark Shields; the Cook Political Report’s Amy Walter; chair of the American Conservative Union Matt Schlapp; and senior advisor and national spokesperson for MoveOn Karine Jean-Pierre.
