The company plans to try again at 5:09 a.m. ET Friday at Florida’s Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The Falcon rocket is designed to separate from its upper-stage engine and Dragon capsule, and land on a floating platform rather than splash into the water. The intent is to reuse the rocket to save cost. The capsule contains more than 5,100 pounds of food, supplies and equipment, along with replica science experiments that were destroyed when Orbital’s Antares Cygnus exploded upon liftoff last year.
