The strike happened yesterday in North Waziristan in Pakistan, targeting Abu Yahya al-Libi, seen as the most prominent figure in the terrorist network after its leader, Ayman al- Zawahri.At the White House today, Press Secretary Jay Carney wouldn't confirm how al-Libi died, but said his death was a major blow to the terror group.JAY CARNEY, White House press secretary: Removing leaders like al-Libi from the very top of al-Qaida is part of an ongoing effort to disrupt and dismantle and ultimately defeat al-Qaida.
