American aid worker returns to U.S. after being detained in Egypt for three years

An Egyptian-American charity worker freed after nearly three years of detention in Egypt returned Thursday night to the United States, the White House said.

American aid worker expected to walk free after three years in Egyptian prison

An Egyptian-American aid worker named Aya Hijazi is scheduled to walk free tomorrow, along with her husband and six other co-defendants, after being cleared of child abuse and human trafficking charges, her lawyers confirmed today.
