Students at campuses around the country have protested what they see as their schools’ mishandling of sexual assault reports as more students are on campus for the first time after pandemic-disrupted years.

Staff members at Eastern Michigan University discovered racist graffiti on the side of a dormitory building Tuesday morning, according to a campus newspaper. The graffiti was shortly removed later that morning. Several students, however, thought the university's statement was insufficient.
