The Taliban claimed credit for an attack on the U.S. consulate in Pakistan that killed at least four Pakistanis following a suicide bombing that left dozens dead at a nearby rally. Gwen Ifill reports.

A civilian vehicle exploded at a special operations military checkpoint in Iraq Thursday, killing three coalition soldiers, a pregnant Iraqi woman and the driver of the vehicle in what appeared to be another suicide bombing aimed at U.S.-led forces.

Officials at U.S. Central Command said current checkpoint procedures will not change despite Monday's incident at a U.S. guarded military checkpoint in Iraq that resulted in the deaths of at least seven and an unarmed Iraqi man on Tuesday.
