The wife of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy who raised their 11 children after he was assassinated and remained dedicated to social causes and the family’s legacy for decades thereafter, died on Thursday, her family said.

Ethel Kennedy, the widow of Robert F. Kennedy, has been hospitalized with a stroke. Her family announced on X Tuesday night that it happened Thursday in her sleep and that she's resting comfortably at a Boston-area hospital.
