Videos and postings on Chinese social media say workers at the world's biggest Apple iPhone factory have been beaten and detained in protests over contract disputes amid anti-virus controls.

Foxconn shifts focus of Wisconsin project away from manufacturing jobs

Foxconn Technology Group said Wednesday it is shifting the focus of its planned $10 billion Wisconsin campus away from blue-collar manufacturing to a research hub, while insisting it remains committed to creating 13,000 jobs as promised.

President Donald Trump plans to announce Wednesday that electronics giant Foxconn will build a liquid crystal display panel plant in Wisconsin, according to an invitation to the event obtained by The Associated Press.
