Obama won’t rule out U.S. embassy in Iran

WASHINGTON — While President Barack Obama hasn't ruled out the possibility of reopening a U.S. Embassy in Iran, Republicans say the Senate will vote within weeks on a bill to impose more sanctions on Tehran over its nuclear program.

President Obama addressed the U.N. General Assembly on Thursday on a wide range of issues, including reinstating Iran's need to demonstrate the peaceful intent of its nuclear program and calling for international support of Israeli and Palestinian peace efforts.
