U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell canceled his trip to Jerusalem as a dispute between Israelis and Palestinians over Israel's authorization of new homes on East Jerusalem has intensified. Jeffrey Brown reports.

Vice President Joe Biden is in the Middle East, meeting with Israeli officials about resuming peace talks after more than a year or deadlock in the region. He pledged commitment to Israel's security, but condemned plans to expand settlements eastward.
