France’s environment minister has announced a gradual ban in the coming years on the use of wild animals in travelling circuses and on keeping dolphins and killer whales in captivity in marine parks.

Washington governor announces billion-dollar plan for orca recovery

Gov. Jay Inslee is proposing major spending and a partial whale-watching ban in an effort to save the region's dwindling orca population.
