Officials announce new measures to fight New York measles outbreak

Officials trying to contain a measles outbreak in a county north of New York City on Tuesday ordered all unvaccinated people exposed to the disease barred from public gathering places, including houses of worship, for up to three weeks.

Citing measles emergency, this county just banned unvaccinated children from public places

Schools, houses of worship, shopping malls — anywhere that people who are not related to one another congregate indoors — will be off limits for unvaccinated children in Rockland County, New York.
