The Federal Trade Commission today unanimously approved a planned merger of America Online and Time Warner -- the largest merger in U.S. history.
Top Internet services provider America Online Inc. will buy Time Warner Inc., the world's largest media and entertainment company, for about $166 billion in stock, the companies said, in what ranks as the largest corporate merger deal ever.
