The bodies of two American soldiers who disappeared Friday after an insurgent attack on a checkpoint were discovered late Monday and showed signs of having been tortured, according to the Iraqi military.
Six U.S. soldiers were killed in separate attacks late Tuesday and early Wednesday in Iraq, the U.S. military said.
Iraqi fighters wounded eight U.S. soldiers in separate attacks on Thursday, a day after President George Bush sent a message to would-be assailants saying the U.S. had sufficient force to deal with any resistance.
