Israeli residents near Gaza were ordered to take shelter in their homes as Israeli troops engaged two groups of militants who had entered Israel via network of tunnels underneath the Gaza Strip. An IDF statement claimed that one group was engaged on foot by ground troops, while an airstrike targeted the other. Ten militants were supposedly killed, with a currently unknown number of soldier deaths. Two tunnel sites were also reportedly found and destroyed by Israeli troops, furthering the country’s goal to bring down the advanced underground tunnel network that provides a link between Gaza and Israel. Since the conflict began two weeks ago, the fighting has left at least 510 Palestinians and 20 Israelis dead, the Associated Press reported. We're not going anywhere.
