Engage in some imaginary monster-play and embrace your inner scientist with this fun activity! Learn how to make gooey monster slime TWO ways with this sensory craft. Don't worry — the slime washes off hands easily with soap and water!

Materials

Directions

1

In a large mixing bowl, add about 1/2 cup of clear glue (such as Elmer's glue). Note: You can use the regular, white school glue, but the mixture will be less translucent and more opaque. We liked how the slime looked using clear glue so we recommend that!

2

Add a generous amount of food coloring. We used green but any color will do! Mix very well until the glue and the food coloring are well blended.

3

Add the liquid starch. Pour the starch very slowly, adding just enough until a slime forms. Keep adding small amounts until the mixture you stir is slimy and gloppy. Watch the video to see the consistency of our slime!

Another option to make this slime? Use glitter glue instead of clear glue and food coloring. Simply repeat the above steps, but add the liquid starch directly to the 1/2 cup of glitter glue (in whatever color) and stir until a slime has formed!
