Materials
Directions
Take apart a cereal box and flatten it out.

Use scissors to cut off the narrow tabs on the long sides of the cardboard sheet. Save the wider strip for making a tail.

Fold the box along the creases with the printed side on the inside. Place the bowl halfway over the edge of the cardboard. Trace half circles down the length of the box to create wing details.

Keep the box folded and cut out the half circles so that the wing details are symmetrical on both wings. Save the half circles and cut them into triangles for making spines and a tail.

Trim the top edges of the wings.

Cover a workspace and paint, color or use construction paper and glue to cover both sides of the cardboard wings, the wide cardboard tail strip and spine triangles.

Glue or staple a spine triangle to the end of the cardboard tail. Secure the tail to the bottom of the wings with glue or a stapler. If you wish, add additional triangles to creates spines between the wings.

When everything is dry, make two holes in each crease about four inches apart. Run a length of string through the holes and tie it off on the inside of the wings. Repeat with the other two holes.

Dress your dragon! Pull one end of the string over the shoulder and the other end under the armpit and tie to secure. Repeat with the other arm.
