Make Your Own Magnifying Glass Party Favors

Young children are naturally curious like Elinor and her friends, so why not give them a tool to take on their next adventure? These party favors are very simple to create and your kids will have fun putting them together with you!
Help your child channel Elinor and her pals by giving them a tool to look at things more closely. These magnifying glasses can come on their next outdoor adventure and will encourage them to take a deeper look at whatever sparks their curiosity! They even look like Elinor with paper rabbit ears attached and are sure to be a favorite party favor at a birthday celebration!
Materials
Directions
Start by placing the magnifying glass down on the piece of paper. Trace the curve along the top of the glass. Draw two long oval shapes popping up from the curve. Draw a rectangular “tab” at the bottom of the ovals at a slight curve following the curve of the magnifying glass. This is where you will fold the ears for attachment to the magnifying glass.

Cut out the paper ears.

Color the inside of each oval “ear” with a pink marker or crayon.

Gently fold the bottom tab of the ovals away from you and attach to the top of magnifying glass with a clear piece of tape.

Optional: Add these printable tags to thank party guests! Print and cut, then punch a hole in one corner. Attach the tags with string to each magnifying glass and remind each child to take one with them for their next outdoor adventure.

Have fun exploring the outdoors up close just like Elinor and her friends in “Elinor Wonders Why!”
