Snip, Snip! Cut and Paste Sight Words
Making a cut-and-paste sight words collage is an easy way for your child to practice sight or spelling words.

Directions
Explain to your child that you’ll be cutting letters out of magazines to spell familiar sight or spelling words. Make a list of sight or spelling words with your child. If your child is young, use your child’s name.
Ask your child to pick a word from the list and then search for letters from that word in a magazine. Have your child cut out the letters from the magazine then assemble and glue them into place on a sheet of paper.
If your child tires of the activity easily or finds it difficult to focus, help your child cut out the letters, or even pre-cut out letters before inviting your child to play.
