Directions

1

Let your child line up chairs in pairs or rows.

2

Friends or family members can pretend to buy “tickets” (imaginary tickets or tickets made from construction paper) to get a ride.

3

Be sure to fasten your seat belts by putting a belt behind the chair and bringing it around to the front.

4

As one of the passengers, you can talk about how long you’ll be gone and that, when your trip is over, you’ll be coming back.

5

Encourage your child’s imagination by pretending to look out the window and talk about what you see. You could say something like, “Look! There’s a big truck next to us. What do you think is inside?” or “That woman is all dressed up. Where do you think she’s going?
