FRONTLINE’s The Choice 2020: Trump vs. Biden Re-Airs Nationally on PBS Oct. 27 & Nov. 2; Spanish-Subtitled Version Now Available

October 26, 2020

As Americans decide who leads the nation for the next four years, The Choice 2020: Trump vs. Biden, the critically acclaimed FRONTLINE (PBS) documentary examining the lives of President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, will re-air nationally on PBS stations at 9/8c Tues., Oct. 27 and Mon., Nov. 2 (check local PBS listings).

Additionally, a Spanish-language subtitled version of the two-hour documentary is now available on FRONTLINE’s website, on-demand, in the PBS Video App and on YouTube.

“We are so pleased to make this important documentary on the choice our nation faces available for new audiences,” says FRONTLINE Executive Producer Raney-Aronson Rath.

In the midst of the historic coronavirus pandemic, economic hardship and a reckoning over racism, this installment of FRONTLINE’s landmark election-year series “The Choice” features interwoven investigative biographies of Trump and Biden that focus on how they have responded in moments of crisis.

In this 2-hour special from veteran FRONTLINE filmmaker Michael Kirk and his team, hear from friends, family, colleagues and adversaries about the challenges that shaped Trump and Biden’s lives and could inform how they confront the crises facing the nation at this pivotal juncture.

Critics have praised the documentary’s insights and positioned it as must-watch pre-election viewing. TV Worth Watching said “The Choice is performing a public service” and that it’s “never been more important,” MinnPost called it “as smart as ever,” Deadline said it’s “fascinating” and “presents the lives of Biden and Trump in ways that may surprise people,” and The New York Times praised it as “an evenhanded comparison of the political histories of Joe Biden and Donald Trump.”

Check your local PBS listings for airtimes on Oct. 27 & Nov. 2, or stream the documentary any time online, on-demand, in the PBS Video App and on YouTube. Additionally, explore nearly 50 extended interviews with sources from the making of film — from Mary Trump to John Bolton to Carol Moseley Braun to Rudy Giuliani — via the FRONTLINE Transparency Project.

The Choice 2020’s Spanish-language translation is available now online, on-demand, in the PBS Video App and on YouTube.
