Question:
Very nice use of QuickTime VR throughout the site. It's
amazing how I can "stand" on top of a pyramid from thousands
of miles away, or "walk" around an obelisk.
Do we
still not know how these great pyramids were constructed?
David San Jose, CA
Response from Mark Lehner:
We know a lot about how they made the Pyramids, but there is
no simple, discrete answer to that question, any more than
there is to "How do you build an automobile?" There are all
kinds of tools, techniques, and operations that go into it.
Some of them are quite clear, and for some of them, there
are still some questions and mysteries
