Dr. Katherine Quesenberry
Dr. Quesenberry received her DVM degree from the
College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Georgia in 1981.
After an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at
the Animal Medical Center in New York City in 1982, she
completed a residency in Wildlife and Zoological Medicine at
the University of Florida in 1984.
Since 1984, Dr. Quesenberry has been the Service Head of the
Avian and Exotic Pet Service at the Bobst Hospital of the
Animal Medical Center in New York. Dr. Quesenberry has
co-edited several books, including "Avian Medicine and
Surgery," "Ferrets, Rabbits and Rodents: Clinical Medicine and
Surgery," and "Veterinary Clinics of North America: Exotic Pet
Medicine I and II," all published by W.B. Saunders in
Philadelphia.
Since 1994, Dr. Quesenberry has been the Scientific Editor of
the Journal of Avian Medicine and Surgery, an international
journal published by the Association of Avian Veterinarians.
She has lectured extensively throughout the United States and
Europe about the medicine of birds and exotic pets, and this
year will be traveling to Australia to speak to veterinarians
about exotic pet medicine.
