Each week, we feature a worthy citizen science project or nature news segment from around the world. This week we’re looking at Yellowstone’s citizen science initiative for the year 2021, Yellowstone Forever.
Help the plants and animals of beautiful Yellowstone National Park thrive with a citizen science opportunity from Yellowstone Forever Institute. According to their website, you can “assist Yellowstone National Park by helping researchers collect data that aids park managers in planning their conservation efforts.” You can work directly with the park’s scientists to “collect essential data that will help park scientists and management officials better understand how the Yellowstone ecosystem is responding to changing environmental conditions.”
The institute offers a few programs each year for a sign-up fee starting at $1,159.00. The major focus for 2021 will be wolves in the winter. Find out more HERE.
