Fighting off rivals is a tiring business, but wooing a disinterested female is another level of pain altogether.

She's just not in the mood.

He heads off to try his luck elsewhere.

Mating season lasts from April to June, so he has time to fine tune his flirting skills.

It's an exhausting business.
